This new eBay commercial is over the top in so many ways.

If you don’t know eBay well, it’s a liberal west coast company that has taken one of the best community-sharing ideas ever presented to the internet, much better than that Facebook thing, and turned it into a parking lot for the very kind of insipid children seen in this commercial, who roust buyers and sellers alike just for the sake of appearing busy.

They are a private sector version of big government, where the customer is always last.

Not unlike the thousands of young people who sleep in tents around the country, eBay affirms their inner souls, greedy little Gus’s that they are, not their cause.
